Everton Wright (EVEWRIGHT) (born 1964) is a British artist with parentage from Jamaica. He is a multi-disciplinary visual installation artist who challenges public environments to make space for Black British stories. He explores the intricate connections between the body and our experience of the modern environment. He studied graphic design at Middlesex University and mixed media painting at Central St Martins College of Art. He trained in film and video production at Four Corners London. Group and solo exhibitions include: Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London; Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival, 2013; ELECTRONICS ALIVE VIII Biennial, Tampa, Florida, 2015; BFI British Film Institute, 2018; Migration Museum, London, 2019; V&A Friday Night Late, London, 2019.
