Claude Heath was born in London in 1964. He studied philosophy at King’s College in London from 1983 to 1986, where he became interested in exploring systems of knowledge and how they are cognitively organized. He began working as an artist directly after completing his BA, with solo exhibitions at Hales Gallery London in 1995 and 1998. Heath won the NatWest Art Prize 1999. He has had solo exhibitions in New York (2001); Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge (2002); the Netherlands (2006); Austria (2008) and Berlin (2005 and 2008).
