Kathryn Elkin works predominantly in performance, video and writing, comparing the ways in which we experience art, to the ways and means it is understood culturally. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art (2005) and Goldsmiths College (2012) and former LUX Associate Artist (2013), selected exhibitions, screenings and performances include: ‘Until the Stars Turn Cold’, S1 Sheffield (2014) and Glasgow Sculpture Studios (2015); ‘Mum Listens to The Exorcist Theme While Ironing’, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow (2014), and ’30 Years of the Future’, Castlefield Gallery, Manchester (2014); ICA, London (2015); and CCA Glasgow (2016).
