  • About the artist
    Margot Perryman was born in Plymouth. She studied at Harrow School of Art (1953–56) and at the Slade School (1956–59). She taught at the US School in London for a year and lived and worked in New York from 1965–66. On return to London, she taught at Ravensbourne and Goldsmiths’ Colleges in London, and at Winchester College of Art. Her first solo exhibition was held at the New Art Centre (London, 1965) and she has contributed to many group exhibitions. Her work is represented in the Tate and the Arts Council Collection. In 2005 and 2007 Perryman exhibited new work in commercial galleries in the UK.
