Jane Harris was born in Dorset and studied at several art colleges including Camberwell School of Art and Goldsmiths’ College in London. She has exhibited widely in the United Kingdom and overseas, including recent shows in Southampton, Stuttgart and New York. A solo exhibition of her work, Divine, was held at Hales Gallery, London in 2005. In 2006 she resigned as a Senior Lecturer at Goldsmiths and moved to south-west France with her family to focus fully on her artistic career. Her paintings use elliptical forms derived from classical gardens that she has researched while travelling in Japan and France.
